Overview

Car bottom furnace PB L2288/12E ia an automatic electrical lifting upward also called bogie hearth furnace or shuttle kiln, this kind of furnaces are mainly used where high temperatures and large specific loading weights are required, and can be primarily found in the area of heating steel slabs and blocks as well as in the ceramics and heat-resistant industry (temperatures between 600° C and 1150° C). The furnace was designed with two independent heating zones, controls separately, heating wires can be replaced easily, furnace chamber temperature uniformity is even.

Safety Measures

• Built-in ammeter and dual voltmeters for easy monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Overheat protection shuts down the furnace if temperature is outside of acceptable range (refer to controller's manual) or when the thermocouple is broken or malfunctions
• Power failure protection resumes furnace operation right after the point of failure when power is reestablished
• Microprocessor based self-tuning PID control provides optimum thermal process with minimal overshoot

• However, toxic or explosive gases that may generate from the sample during the heating are not recommended for use with this programmable muffle furnace without necessary safety controls and supervision.
• Small cracks may appear on the surface of the refractory ceramics over extended use. This is a normal occurrence and the cracks may be repaired with alumina coating
